"MAROSTICA AND THE HILLS" ROUTE
Length: around 32 km
Estimated time: 8h with a break
Level of difficulty: MEDIUM
This route brings the visitors among the high fields in the hilly countryside between Bassano and Marostica through cool streams up to the ancient and magnificent Sant'Agata little Church.
Going further from the noisy and crowded plain, the itinerary goes along comfortable and lonely small roads that cross olive groves, cherry fields and meadows where animals can still freely graze.
The route arrives then to Marostica a town where the medieval atmosphere is still present thanks to its fencing walls and its living chess pieces. The characteristic and cheerful hamlets along Val d'Inverno lead the visitors to understand the very important and peculiar elements of the landscape as the rocky structure, the vegetation, the stream erosion and the influence of human beings on the hilly landscape.
Once you reach the main square in Marostica enjoy a pleasant lunch break!
