"GREEN IN BASSANO" ROUTE

Through this route you can experience Bassano del Grappa with all its nuances, passing amid the most known and characteristic places of the town, as the renowned Ponte degli Alpini (Alpine trooper Bridge), the elegant streets and squares of the historical centre, but also places where nature tells about its ancient relationship with human beings.
From Don Cremona Hostel, go along the cycle lane of Via Ognissanti up to Piazzale Cadorna; leave the Tempio Ossario (big church) on the left, take Viale Diaz and go through the New Bridge. At the roundabout take the first exit on the right, Via Scalabrini, and at the traffic light again on the right in Via Angarano up to the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio). There go towards Montevecchio, Libertà and Garibaldi Piazze (Squares) and then take Via Museo on the right. Once arrived in Piazzale Trento, cross Via Remondini to enter "Giardino Parolini". Go along Viale delle Fosse up to the General Giardino Statue, pass through Porta delle Grazie and go along Viale dei Martiri. After Margnan declination turn right in Via Sant'Anna up to the entrance of the park "Parco Ragazzi del'99". Then take Via Santa Caterina and at the crossing with Via Margnan keep right to go along the Brenta river.
The cycle and pedestrian path on the left side of the river starts at Ca'Barziza hydroelectric plant and it is to follow up to San Bortolo Church situated in "Conca d'Oro". From there towards the North up to Contrà Torre di Solagna (attention!) take the footbridge on the river Brenta and then go towards South along the right riverbank. The path brings all the way to the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio). Then turn right in Via Angarano, at the traffic light turn left until "Brolo di Palazzo Bonaguro".
To go back to the hostel go through the New Bridge (Ponte Nuovo) up to Piazzale Cadorna, pass in front of Tempio Ossario, take Via Ognissanti on the right and follow the cycle lane to the hostel.
